Emerance: Welding a New Future
Emerance, an 18-year-old teen mother from the village of Ntarama, grew up with five siblings in a family facing immense hardship. Her life took a difficult turn when she became pregnant after being taken advantage of by their houseboy. Instead of receiving support, she faced rejection from her family. School became an unreachable dream, making every day a struggle for survival.
Everything began to change when she was introduced to the Xtra Mile Vocational Training Center through ATN Rwanda.
Thanks to your generous support, Emerance enrolled in the welding program. For the first time, she received regular meals, studied in a safe and supportive environment, and joined a community that believed in her potential.
