Eleven years ago, when ATN-Rwanda moved some of its activities to the Bugesera community it looked as a difficult dream to achieve (pictured above). Historically, Bugesera was well known to be a hopeless place. For several years, our dream was to be a part of a new story for Bugesera.
Today, we can see some transformational signs. Two weeks ago someone from the community came to register her grandchild at our preschool. We were moved by how she chose our preschool community. “We moved to this community three months ago, when I joined the sports community at this place, I was very surprised and inspired by how spiritual this community is. After exercises (pictured above…an exercise class 11 years later), we took time to pray. Honestly, whenever I walk at this place I feel the Spirit of God. And I decided to bring my grandchild here where you teach more than academics but care spiritually as well.” Said by a lady who comes to participate in sports and exercise at ATN-Rwanda’s Bugesera property.
After hearing this, Aloys (my assistant) and I were encouraged and affirmed. May God continue to use ATN-Rwanda to bring hope to many people in Bugesera. And may God continue to use ATN-Rwanda as a light and salt for God’s Kingdom in here.
