Vestine Uwineza, a 19-year-old from Ntarama Village in Rwanda, walked a path marked by deep hardship for years. When a long-standing family conflict drove her father away, her mother was left alone to care for Vestine and her five siblings. Day after day, her mother fought just to put a single meal on the table. Many nights they went to bed hungry, school was out of reach, and hope felt like an impossible dream.
Everything changed when Vestine stepped through the doors of Xtra-Mile Vocational Training Center. Because of your generous support, she enrolled in the welding program and, for the first time in her life, experienced consistent meals, a safe place to learn, and a community that truly believed in her. But the transformation went far deeper than skills and stability. Through daily Bible studies at the center, Vestine found a personal relationship with Jesus, culminating in her baptism.
Now in her final month of training, Vestine looks ahead with unwavering hope. She dreams of using her welding skills to earn a living, lift her family out of poverty, and eventually buy her own tools to start a small business. Because of your faithfulness, Vestine is no longer just surviving—she is embracing a future filled with dignity, faith, and purpose.
Thank you for playing a vital role in turning her storm into a testimony.
