11th Peace House Graduation!

Peace House is celebrating the 11th girls graduation! Can’t believe that 110 girls have been given an opportunity to learn a new skills but most importantly to discover their Creator and their identity in Christ. So many lives changed and glory be to God.
Here are a couple of stories that I would like to share with you.

Janet joined Peace house broken and wounded. Being born from a single mom who didn’t show Janet her dad and the fact that she has been raped by her step father made Janet hating her mom. Through the Word of God, Janet chose to follow Jesus, was baptized and forgave her mother. Janet became a friend with her mom and her mom decided to take her daughter to her blood father’s family. Janet was well received by her grandmother and she learned the story about her dad who died. We are thankful for Janet’s healing and reconciliation with her mother.

The second story is of Hadidja. This girl comes from the Muslim background. Her dad sent her to our training but the target was just to get a sewing machine. She joined our Discovery Bible Study and the first three months were difficult to her. Spiritual attacks happened several times. She could scream, or feel weakened and sleep. She kept coming and she was eager to learn and share with other girls what she discovered from the Word of God. Two days ago, I spent time with the girls wrapping up what they learned from our time together. Hadidja shared that her life has changed because of the Word of God. Today, her mom came to support her and we were not sure if Hadidja would like to get the Bible as a gift in front of her. I talked to Hadidja before the Bibles were distributed, that she was free not to take the Bible home, she told me

“I believe in Jesus and I love this book, I will continue to read it in my leisure time. Give it to me, my mom is not going to be offended.”

We gave her the Bible and let’s continue to pray for Hadidja and her family that the light will shine and they will discover the truth to set them free.
