Chickens Blessing Families!

Even a small change in the life of someone counts! We are grateful to God for His faithfulness. He’s been a great provider to all ATN’s ministries and programs. He provided all we needed and much more than we asked or prayed for!

One of the friends of Peace house gave money for chickens for our beneficiaries. Many of you know that our beneficiaries live in Kigali city, poor neighborhoods where they rent very tiny houses that can’t fit their family members. Because of these challenges, we decided to bring this project in the suburbs of Kigali and other parts of Rwanda: Eastern province, Northern province and Western province! We selected one district, one sector, and one cell in each province.

This was an answered prayer for us because we desired to spread the Kingdom of God in other areas of Rwanda. Longing to see transformation among the most vulnerable in the villages. 320 chickens were distributed to 160 families that have around 700 people. Chickens were distributed in different period of time throughout the year because we had to pray and wait to see the worthy person who could connect us to the community apart from the local leaders. The families who were served first have started enjoying the production. Many of they cannot even borrow salt or might lack a bar of soap or pens of their kids. These are some of the main things they struggle with.

Prayers and Discovery Bible Study have started and some couples are being reconciled through prayers (we have realized that there is more domestic abuse and family conflicts in those areas) because of ignorance and the culture.

Join us as we pray for the right man who has a heart of DMM who will join us in this new journey. In Kigali, our beneficiaries are mainly single mothers. We need a prayerful, mentor, counselor who can work alongside those men in the village for the sake of the healing of the family. “The harvest is plenty but workers are few.”
